Frank Chu

No matter where I go I always run into Frank Chu. He kind of has a cult following in San Francisco. Well he was at the Macworld 2008 standing right outside Moscone Center West. If you are interested in reading more about him here is a link to his Wikipedia page about him http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Frank_Chu

Griffin Earbuds

Posted in Apple, Finds, iphone, Reviews with tags , , , on January 16, 2008 by alexdesignz

I got hooked up with the new Griffin tunebuds today for the iphone. I was expecting more companies to have headphones w/mic for the iphone since there is only a few out there. So i was happy to see that Griffin has one coming out soon. I tried them out on my bus ride home and it is hard for me to compare these to other rubber tipped earbuds since I have never tried any of them. They do cancel out 80% of the sound and I am not sure if I like that. I like to know whats going on most of the time. The sound was a little bit tinny and did not have a good scale in sound. I am used to the Apple ear buds and feel the Apple buds are more comfortable, but I think it is my opinion. For the price that they will be sold for ($39.99) I do think they are worth tryiing them out. They also come with a great case and 3 sizes of rubber tips. If anyone trys them out let me know what you think.tunebudsmobile_1-1.jpg

Macworld 2008

Posted in Apple, San Francisco with tags , , , , , , , on January 16, 2008 by alexdesignz

Went to Macworld today and for the most part it was a let down. Yes the Macbook Air is great but the vendors for the most part are not selling anything different from what the next vendor is selling. I did not find any really good deals either. I did get hooked up with Griffin earbuds which are not even out yet which was cool. So big shout out to griffin. I will give my feelings about them after this post. So enjoy the few photos I took at Macworld.

Fontana – Famous Pizza & Gyro

Fontana
I know I keep saying everything is the best, but this is… The Gyro was so good and the chicken kabobs are great too. This place is packed all the time. I get my Gyro without the Tzatziki Sauce, but with all the rest (pita, onions, tomato, and seasoning).

How could I resist, the smell of the toasting pretzel calling my name. Living in California i miss these things. So I had to grab one. I shared it with my daughter and she loved it.

NY Pizza

NY Pizza

I gotta say I just love NY pizza and living in San Francisco I miss it. Not only does most pizza in S.F. suck, but charging $22 for a Medium (which they call a large) really sucks. Also you need toppings to make it taste better so that adds up at $2.00 a topping.
